We Dissent. Architects for Abortion Access!
Now on view at Princeton University School of Architecture. Installation is sited at the SoA North Gallery until September 16, 2022.
Installation text:
“Womxn in Design and Architecture (WDA) echoes the dissent by U.S. Supreme Court Justices Breyer, Sotomayor ‘76, and Kagan ‘81. WDA affirms our support of reproductive justice and bodily autonomy for all.
The Supreme Court case Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization is not isolated from architecture. The health, safety, and human welfare that the architectural profession promotes begins at the level of human rights.
As students, makers, and architects of the built environment, we remain committed to designing spaces rooted in equity and justice.
